Google Pay (GPay)

India's most popular payment app. Your UPI QR code opens directly in GPay when scanned, with amount and note pre-filled if you set them.

PhonePe

Widely used across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. PhonePe reads standard UPI QR codes natively. Your customers tap, confirm, and pay.

Paytm & BHIM

From Paytm to BHIM to your bank's own UPI app, any application built on the UPI standard can scan and process your QR code instantly.

Built for Indian businesses

Works with all UPI apps

Your QR code follows the standard UPI deep-link format. It works with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, CRED, and every other UPI-enabled app in India. For accepting international or crypto payments, see our payment QR code generator.

Pre-fill amount & transaction note

Set a fixed amount for subscription payments or rent collection. Add a transaction note like "Monthly rent" or "Order #123" so every payment is automatically labelled in your bank statement.

Merchant code support

If you have a merchant category code (MCC), you can include it in your QR code for proper transaction classification. Great for GST-registered businesses and organised retail.

How it works

Enter your UPI ID

Type in your UPI address, like yourname@okicici or 9876543210@ybl. This is the address linked to your bank account where you want to receive payments.

Set optional amount & note

Leave the amount blank for a general-purpose QR code, or set a fixed amount for things like rent, tuition fees, or event tickets. Add a note so you know what each payment is for.

Print or display your QR

Download as PNG or SVG. Print it and stick it at your billing counter, paste it on your delivery packaging, display it on a tablet at events, or share it on WhatsApp and Instagram.

Frequently asked questions
Which UPI apps can scan this QR code?

Every app that supports the UPI standard can read your QR code. This includes Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, CRED, WhatsApp Pay, and all bank apps with UPI like SBI Pay, iMobile, and HDFC PayZapp. If your customer has any UPI app, they can pay you.

Is it safe to share my UPI QR code publicly?

Yes. A UPI QR code only contains your UPI ID (your payment address) and optionally an amount and note. It does not contain your bank account number, IFSC, or any sensitive credentials. Sharing your UPI QR code is the same as telling someone your UPI ID. People can send money to you, but they cannot withdraw from your account.

Can I set a fixed amount on the QR code?

Yes. In the editor, you can enter an amount that gets embedded into the QR code. When someone scans it, their UPI app will show the pre-filled amount. This is useful for fixed-price items, monthly rent, or subscription fees. You can also leave the amount blank so the payer enters any amount they want.

Do I need a merchant account or payment gateway?

No. That is the whole point of UPI. You just need a personal or business bank account linked to a UPI ID. There is no registration, no approval process, no monthly fee, and no transaction charge for person-to-person payments. Generate your QR code, print it, and start accepting payments today.

Does this work offline?

QR Gen is a progressive web app. Once you have loaded it in your browser, you can generate and download UPI QR codes without an internet connection. Of course, the actual payment by the customer will require them to be online, but creating and printing your QR code does not.
