Enter your UPI ID
Type the VPA that receives money, like shop@okicici, plus the name customers should see.
Generate the QR
The form below builds a standard upi://pay code in your browser. Leave amount blank so each customer types the bill.
Print and test
Download PNG or SVG, print it for the counter, and scan once with GPay or PhonePe before taking a real payment.
Turn your UPI ID into a QR code
No account. The VPA never leaves this browser. Need the full design studio? Open the editor.
Works with every UPI app your customers already use
Google Pay (GPay)
India's most popular payment app. Your UPI QR code opens directly in GPay when scanned, with amount and note pre-filled if you set them.
PhonePe
Widely used across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. PhonePe reads standard UPI QR codes natively. Your customers tap, confirm, and pay.
Paytm & BHIM
From Paytm to BHIM to your bank's own UPI app, any application built on the UPI standard can scan and process your QR code instantly.
Built for Indian businesses
Works with all UPI apps
Your QR code follows the standard UPI deep-link format. It works with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, CRED, and every other UPI-enabled app in India. For accepting international or crypto payments, see our payment QR code generator.
Pre-fill amount & transaction note
Set a fixed amount for subscription payments or rent collection. Add a transaction note like "Monthly rent" or "Order #123" so every payment is automatically labelled in your bank statement.
Merchant code support
If you have a merchant category code (MCC), you can include it in your QR code for proper transaction classification. Great for GST-registered businesses and organised retail.
How it works
Enter your UPI ID
Type in your UPI address, like yourname@okicici or 9876543210@ybl. This is the address linked to your bank account where you want to receive payments.
Set optional amount & note
Leave the amount blank for a general-purpose QR code, or set a fixed amount for things like rent, tuition fees, or event tickets. Add a note so you know what each payment is for.
Print or display your QR
Download as PNG or SVG. Print it and stick it at your billing counter, paste it on your delivery packaging, display it on a tablet at events, or share it on WhatsApp and Instagram.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get a UPI QR code for my business?
Use QRGen's free UPI QR code generator, enter the UPI ID linked to the account where your business receives payments, add your business name, and download the code as PNG or SVG. Test it with a UPI app before displaying it. If you need provider-specific merchant features such as settlements or a soundbox, register with your bank or a merchant app separately.
How do I get a UPI QR code for my shop?
Enter your shop's UPI ID and name in the generator, leave the amount blank so each customer can enter their bill total, then download and print the QR code for your counter. Scan a test payment and confirm that the correct shop name appears before accepting customer payments.
What is a merchant UPI QR code?
A merchant UPI QR code is a scannable payment code linked to a business's UPI ID. It identifies the payee and can include merchant details such as the business name, merchant category code, transaction reference, amount, and note. A static shop QR normally leaves the amount open for the customer to enter.
Does PhonePe/GPay merchant QR cost anything?
Creating and displaying a standard merchant QR is generally free, and UPI payments funded directly from a customer's bank account do not carry MDR. Optional products such as soundboxes may have subscription charges, and payments funded by cards, wallets, or credit lines can have fees in some cases. Check the current PhonePe or Google Pay for Business terms for your account.
Can I print my UPI QR code?
Yes. Download the QR code as SVG for the sharpest result at any print size, or use a high-resolution PNG. Keep a clear margin around the code, avoid stretching it, and test the final print with more than one UPI app before placing it at your counter.
What is the UPI QR code format?
A UPI QR code encodes a UPI payment URI that starts with upi://pay. It includes the payee address in the pa parameter and payee name in pn, with optional fields such as amount, transaction note, reference, and merchant category code. The QR image lets compatible UPI apps read that payment URI.
